Character not displayed on UITEXTEntryBox but is acknowledged

When using UITextEntryBox, when a line is deleted, and something is typed into it, a whitespace is created no matter which letter in inputted and when event.text is printed, it shows that the character is inputted.

At around 10 seconds, when the blinking typing indicator goes down from the blank line to "LINE2" the character "a" was inputted. This was not reflected on the EntryBox, but was printed when I closed the pygame window (I set it so it prints the contents of the EntryBox when pygame window is closed)
