Related to this issue, though not entirely, is a PR in Orange biolab/orange3#3047 that allows saving to compressed pickled format. This will allow us to better manage scOrange's internal files, like those that come with Single Cell Datasets widget.

Loom and Excel are now supported. See #249 and #245. mtx and text were supported already.
