deal.ii version control

Hi,

I tried to build deal.II version 9.4.0, but no matter what I specify in the candi.cfg file, I keep getting version 9.3.0 of deal.II. Even when I do not touch candi.cfg, I still get version 9.3.0 instead of the latest one.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

My system is Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS.

You probably also installed deal.II using the package manager and forgot setting your deal.II dir to the candi installation. Go to the installation directory from candi (shown after it completes) and execute source configuration/enable.sh.
