In a nutshell (see the original issue for details and some discussion), the following file provides cases of catastrophic ELG redshift failures due to [OII] being conflated with (high S/N) sky-subtraction residuals.

desispec_ELG_skyresidual_ZTRUE.txt

Some---and perhaps all---of these cases will be resolved by the new templates being developed in desihub/redrock#279.
