Noob here. I display the number of people with disabilities per Local Authority in England. If I load up Icon Map with disability data from the UK Census, there are Local Authority codes and Region codes. When I add either of those codes into the Category field with the Count as Size, it beings up the map for the UK and France, but no bubbles or anything representing the "size" component. Does that mean the Local Authority or Region codes aren't recognised?

I have a further issue, but it doesn't matter if I cant solve the first: When I then add in a GeoJSON of local authorities or regions, hosted on a public Github repo, I get the error message saying there probably is a CORS error. I'm probably doing something wrong that's incredibly simple, but for the life of me I can't figure it out.

I'd appreciate any support.

This worked for me (Straight from chatgpt):

Enable GitHub Pages on Your Repository

Go to your repository on GitHub.
Click on the "Settings" tab.
Scroll down to the "Pages" section in the sidebar.
Under "Source", select the branch you want to use for GitHub Pages (typically main or master), and then select the folder (usually /root or /docs).
Click "Save".

Furthermore, be sure to go to the file, click "raw" so that the raw text of the geojson file shows up. Now copy the url of that page to put in icon map.

Thanks for this! I'm trying to follow it. A couple of questions:

  1. Enabling pages on my repository. I went to my GeoServer repository, and when I clicked on pages it prompted my for a domain name. What should I use: www.icon-map.com or the url where I sourced the file from?
