Hi JAX community,
I was following the JAX advanced tutorials on Distributed Arrays (https://jax.readthedocs.io/en/latest/notebooks/Distributed_arrays_and_automatic_parallelization.html#generating-random-numbers). Everything works fine for me and I can produce the same result on my 4 GPUs machine. However, the only thing I can't reproduce is the
collective-permute
appearance in compiled code:My output is:
instead of
True
, even if I have explicitly disabledjax_threefry_partitionable
by doing:My output of
jax.debug.visualize_array_sharding(f(key, x))
is as below:┌───┬───┬───┬───┐
│ GPU 0 │ GPU 1 │ GPU 2 │ GPU 3 │
└───┴───┴───┴───┘
Is there anything I miss in the tutorials or just the implementation of RNG on sharding has been changed since the document?
Thanks in advance!
