Since a native Watch extension/app is needed, how are people adding this to their projects without having it overwritten after a new cordova build? Is there a common way to add other kinds of iOS extensions to cordova apps? I haven't been successful finding instructions for this.

If you've added the extension via xcode and run platform rm then add, your watch app will be lost. There isn't a simple way around this sadly and I'm not aware of anyone managing extensions in this way. I'll keep this open to suggestions.

This plugin isn't the solution to all your problems if you expect it to just make an apple watch app for you... While the name might be a little misleading, all it does is help you communicate between your iOS app and your watchOS app.

To use this you will absolutely need to know how iOS/watchOS/Xcode work decently well, otherwise you're in for a world of hurt 😿
