1, install LiferayWorkspacewithDevStudio-202212271250-windows-installer.exe to c:/liferay7
2, open liferay developer studio ,and create a server [Liferay Community Edition Portal 7.4.3.58 CE GA58 at localhost]
3, double click [Liferay Community Edition Portal 7.4.3.58 CE GA58 at localhost], modify vm arguments: -Duser.timezone=JST ,save
4, start liferay server , log time is still GMT.

Hey @yzbh007 , thank you for reporting this issue, I have created a jira ticket to fix it, please track the process here https://issues.liferay.com/browse/IDE-5097. We will fix it in the next release. So for now, You can start the tomcat server in command line, and change the vm args in setenv.sh or setenv.bat file for a workaround.

Please nodted that Liferay Portal uses the GMT timezone for all dates in default. If you change it, please make sure all the timezone settings are same. (like database settings)

If possible can you tell me why you need to change the time zone? is it needed in production or just for a test? you answer will help us improve our product, thanks in advance.

I would like to see the event times in the log file recorded in local time, not in GMT time.
