I just installed Midori as an alternative to chrome (which is absolutely killing my poor 2Gb RAM linux based laptop. I moved to linux primarily to postpone having to dump this old laptop, which is in very good condition for its age. Just because computers keep increasing CPU speed & available RAM is no excuse for inefficient software and poor development practises 😢 ) - I'm pleased with the performance; Midori seems a million times better than chrome (in terms of efficiency) but I cannot figure out how to add a darn bookmark! An internet search reveals this year old bug report with no update on it? I also cannot find some of the preferences that are referenced in the official help/man page! For instance, it refers to the non-existent "Preferences -> Network -> Identify As" to choose how the browser identifies itself... The only thing on the Network tab is Proxy (GNOME, http, none) and a box for URI
Guess it only adds the current page as bookmark, can't add an URL from clipboard or anywhere else.
Maybe I'm wrong but this code here desn't seem to be worked on for quite some time (Oct 2019). The new version of Midori, taken over by Astian, might be in a different place.
Midori 7.0 running on Lubuntu 20.20.
After clicking on "add a bookmark" there is no way to save it.
