This release also sees a pretty major overhaul of our styling. We removed usage of the styled() HOC throughout the library and are using the CSS prop directly for all components. This means removing @emotion/styled as a peer dependency and simplifying the component tree and code.

We also got rid of forwardRef for most components and simplified the button and link APIs.

Further improvements to the Button component include default icons for some action buttons. We also fixed the Link component's navigation styling.

Fun fact: Diatoms are the only organism on the planet with cell walls composed of transparent, opaline silica.

Archaea 🦹‍♀️

A wildly tiny and pre-release-quality release of our design system and components. New components in this release are:

Fun fact: Nanoplankton are between 2-20µm in size, making them substantially smaller than trout.
