I understand that the github.com/python GH org has historically been a bit of a catch-all for anything Python-related, but the SC has posted a GH org policy to try and clean that up. Given that Planet Python isn't specifically to do with core development or the CPython implementation, and isn't really maintained by core developers, it would be a good idea to move this repo to another org (or personal account).

The PSF Github org would be an appropriate target. What's the process for getting it moved ?

We need to transfer it to the PSF Github org but I don't have access for that. @ewdurbin could help us with this task.

@ewdurbin Could you please advise what needs to be done to move the repo ? Thanks.

Transfer to PSF org makes sense indeed!

What users should be granted access to the repository? A team will be created and those users will need to be invited to the org. Ideally these folks will stick around as maintainers of the planet repo.

I guess that's for @matrixise to decide. I can help with maintaining the planet list (config.ini), but don't have time to look into code changes.
