We've forked the repository, the new repo is https://github.com/pymorphy2-fork/DAWG

What's changed:

  • Added support for new versions of Python and dropped versions older than Python 3.8 (so now the supported versions are from 3.8 through 3.11).
  • Added GitHub Actions workflows for testing, building, and deployment to pypi.org
  • More flexible char substitutes (fix for similar_keys limitation #28)
  • Building of binary wheels for the most popular platforms, see the file list (in particular, this fixes Build issue DAWG, build on win10 fails #34)

We'll try to maintain the project as far as we can, at least answer to issues and review and merge pull requests.

Hi @insolor, have you considered taking over this repo instead of forking? I am sure @kmike would be open to that.

@superbobry, the story begins from pymorphy2, where @kmike is a founder too, see discussion: pymorphy2/pymorphy2#160

I'm a member of @pymorphy2 org, but @kmike doesn't give enough rights to continue development of pymorphy2 (at the very least I need rights to merge pull requests and publish releases on pypi.org). I doubt that it will be the case for DAWG/DAWG-Python either. So I do what I can do in this situation.

Of course, I can try to ping @kmike from time to time, but I see little point in this. I think, I said enough already, in the discussion, and by email.
