on a fresh install, both welcome pages would show up. Maybe we could silently close the continue one?

You probably need to delete ~/Library/Application Support/Code (on Mac, or its equivalent on other platforms) to start clean. Or install another flavor of VS Code (Insiders package or VS Codium)

You need to analyze when/how https://github.com/continuedev/continue/blob/ed9bbba81b68263c7fd1ae54e0f65c981eec958b/gui/src/pages/onboarding/Onboarding.tsx#L110 works, so the first time vscode-granite is installed, we might need to override some globalState value used to determine whether the Continue onboarding page is displayed on startup
