UPGRADE to php 7.X and MySqli or PDO

Hello,

I am using Pommo for a few years.
At the moment I am using version "poMMo Aardvark PR16.1"

Our servers are updating from php 5.5 to 7.3
In Pommo I am running to quite a few deprecated functions.

I am think of fixing those functions, or switch to a other Newsletter system.
Are there people with the same problem?
And how do you fixed it?
