As the title says: Is it also useable only with password & username authentication - so WITHOUT keys / keyfiles?

Hi, the keys/certificates are necessary to establish the TLS connection, there is no way around that (required by the protocol/any SSTP client).

It is however possible to run sstpd behind an HTTPS reverse proxy for SSL offload (in which case sstpd talks plain HTTP).
