Just laucnhed kodi, and it has upgraded to Matrix. The addon seems to not be working with the new release of kodi.

Have you tried to uninstall the old and than install it again?

I'm running Kodi 19 with vfs.rar 4.0 and it is working.

I have the same. Kodi Matrix with CoreELEC running on an Odroid N2+. Tried re-installation of the plugin, removed the archive support plugin since I read it competed with rar support. Reboot every time, but to no avail. Doesn't work here.
