ForeFire is an open source fire spread model simulation designed for large scale fire simulation. Its flexible architecture allows for easy integration of new model formulations, and it can take typical landscape data as input.

The simulation engine has been thoroughly tested using mathematical methods, and it can be integrated into a wide range of scientific environments, from Python-based tools like SciPy/Numpy to Fortran parallel coupled numerical weather forecast models.

By using ForeFire, users can improve their understanding of fire behavior in different environments and develop more effective wildfire management strategies.
